LONDON STYLE

11 December 2022

Ahh, London - one of my all-time favourite cities - it holds a special place in my heart!

If you're heading out to explore London, my best bit of advice is to dress comfortably - you're gonna be on your feet (a lot), walking, running between buses and up and down old flights of stairs to catch the tube, and trying your best to zig-zag between massive crowds - especially if you're out on a sunny day or the weekend.

My go-to style was definitely lots of black and denim (trying to keep up with that minimal but cool aesthetic Londoner's seem to do so effortlessly), sneakers and ankle boots, and a good jacket to chuck over any outfit - because the weather can be highly unpredictable!

Items featured:
Oversized faux leather jacket - Princess Polly
Crossbody bag - Peta & Jain
Tie front top - Ally Fashion
Dark denim mom jeans - Zara
LBD - Princess Polly
Wide leg jeans - Thats So Fetch
Ankle boots - Dolls Kill (Current Mood)
Sneakers - Nike

Khaki & Plaid

6 May 2015

My Outfit:
Khaki Jacket - H&M
Oversized Plaid Shirt-Dress - Melrose Ave
Stockings - Big W
Black Boots - Famous Footwear

Yesterday was a pretty great day, albeit a cold one! Mum and I went in to the city for the day for some shopping & lunch (see my previous post on Gekkazan, the best Japanese food I've had in a long time)!

Let me just say, the shopping in Melbourne is amazing. Of course it is, though - after all, Melbourne does hold the title of Shopping Capital of Australia! I picked up some amazing bargains, with all but two of my purchases being dramatically reduced! *happy dance* I grabbed myself a new pair of black suede-feel boots reduced from $60 to $20, and a huge bag full of sale items from H&M for both mum and I, including the fab Khaki Jacket/Coat I'm wearing in these pictures! I'm actually considering doing a Haul post (or maybe even a Youtube video?) so if you'd be interested in that, please let me know! :3

Anyway. So the jacket is from H&M, and it's already one of my favourite pieces. I've wanted a khaki jacket for years now so I'm so so happy that I've finally gotten myself one! It's so comfy and surprisingly very warm considering it's not that thick! Perfect for layering!

My oversized plaid shirt-dress is also a relatively new purchase, from Melrose Ave. I've wanted one of these for a while now (ever since Kylie Jenner bought the shirt-dress look to my attention via good ole' instagram), and this one is just perfect! Super comfy and warm, lovely thick flannel material and (imho) looks great on! And of course, once again I've paired my outfit with my staple imitation doc's, my favourite and comfiest shoes!

You may not be able to tell, but it was super cold and blowing a gale when these photos were taken, to the point that I almost didn't bother! But then I spotted Melbourne's Parliament House and thought how great the photos would look taken on those stairs, and here we are! #priorities right?

What do you think of this look? Love it, or hate it? Let me know!

Lazy Days

9 April 2015

My Outfit:
Black cardigan - Cotton On
Black printed muscle top - Melrose Avenue
Denim ripped boyfriend jeans - Cotton On
Black leather style boots - Famous Footwear

I'm gonna be honest, I've been pretty lazy so far this week. I spent the weekend pretty much in bed, stuffing my face with chocolates and all the other unhealthy food cooked up for Easter lunch, and watching TV. So obviously not the greatest start to the week (or possibly the greatest, hmm)!

I had to run up to the shops today to pick up some food (and snatch up those 50% off post-Easter goodies!!) so the goal was quick, simple & casual. I love this cardigan, it's so warm and cosy and I love the slouchy fit. I threw on this simple muscle print tee, it's got a cross with luxe and a bunch of other words printed on it and I just think it's really cute and simple! Nothing says comfy better than a pair of boyfriend jeans! I'd had my eyes on these for a while and finally picked them up at 30% off not too long ago, the only drama is that they're a bit too big (like I need to pull em' up a bit) but I don't think it's too obvious, they're meant to look big anyhow, so!

It's school holidays right now, meaning that all of the managers and well adults have gone off with their children and left the schoolios in charge. Which is totally fine, but means that I'll have to wait until next week to stand a chance of my resume not being lost or thrown straight into the bin. So as a result I've got a few more days of laziness to soak up before mad-job-hunting once more. Fingers crossed I'll find something soon!

I've decided that I'm going back to uni in the mid-year intake, but in a course I actually want to do this time. I'm just trying to decide which one - I've narrowed it down to either Fashion Merchandising or Professional Writing and Editing. Decisions, decisions!

What have you been up to this week readers? How was your easter?
